Our Mission
Active Nation is a charity on a mission to persuade the nation to be active! We’re hugely enthusiastic about getting anyone and everyone involved in the joys of sport and exercise. But beyond our fun and quirky personality, is a very important message, since sport & exercise is proven to reduce the risk of serious illnesses such as Cancer, Osteoporosis, Type II Diabetes and Heart Disease.
To help us spread our message and take one step closer to achieving our mission, we need your support. We’re looking for people who would be willing to support our cause and stand shoulder to shoulder with us in the fight against inactivity. We’ve set ourselves a goal of recruiting 1 million supporters who would proudly take a pledge to being active and carry our supporter card with them as a reminder to shout about the benefits of moving more whenever they can.
It won’t cost you a penny, but would mean the world to us to have your support. Together with 1 million other supporter card holders, we would have an extremely powerful army of exercise advocates, a strong reminder and incentive for others to support the message too.
In return for your support, we will send you regular information about our charities news, invitations to our Discovery days and events, activity vouchers that will let you come and have a go at your favourite sports and exercises, vouchers to help you get your friends and family active, and a whole heap of other useful things.
