Centre Information
“Chamberlayne Leisure Centre is so called due to the fact that it is situated on farmland formerly owned by the Chamberlayne family, and apples were harvested here until they donated the land to the state in 1924. Fast forward nearly a hundred years and now Active Nation are in residence, harvesting the next crop of Olympic champions!
You’ll always get a warm and friendly welcome at Chamberlayne, and our experienced Campaign Team will soon have you on your way to achieving your sport and exercise goals. It’s the most accessible leisure centre in Southampton and we offer all manner of fun activities for all ages and abilities, which take place both inside the leisure centre and out in the open air. Particularly well catered for are the kids, as we host a number of different sports clubs for children which form an integral part of Chamberlayne’s special character. There’s also our excellent kids Holiday Club, which makes use of some terrific facilities, I always bring my daughter along during the school holidays.
If you’re looking to get the kids active, or simply want to keep them occupied while you pursue your own sporting adventures (there’s plenty here for big kids too!), Chamberlayne is the place to be. We look forward to seeing you very soon!”
