It’s never too early to begin learning… Unless you’re under 4 years old that is. We’re proud of the wide variety of Children’s Lessons we have on offer. From private lessons to our Penguin Programme – We’ll get kids confident on the slopes in no time.
Do you already know how to ski but want the kids to learn? We do 1-2-1 tuition where they can learn at their own pace, without the pressure of other children around.
They’ll get to grips with the basics of skiing or snowboarding, gain confidence on the slope and hopefully take their first steps onto a sport they’ll enjoy for a lifetime.
Our Junior Activities are delivered by our BRILLIANT instructors after school and act as a great way to combine child care with exercise! Our beginner course acts as more of a lesson based activity – Teaching children how to ski or snowboard and raising their confidence levels.
Our after school club acts as more of a fun session – combining learning with fun activities. This is also for those who have a little more confidence and can ski from our top slope.
Junior Beginner Course – This is a great way to learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding with the aim of getting you to our practice standard by the end of the course.
This is a 3 week course with each session running for 2 hours over 3 consecutive Thursdays.
The minimum age for this course is 8 years.
Our After School Club runs every Friday between 5pm – 7pm for skiers and snowboarders who are able to ski from the top of our main slope.
This is a fun & engaging sessions designed for improving current skills for those children who are already at practise standard. Our instructors will be on the slope to coach & give tips on how to improve skills.
This activity is for children between the age of 4 – 16.
Unfortunately there are no actual penguins on the slopes for these sessions. Our Penguin Sessions are for younger children to attend a structed course, to slowly progress their skills and confidence on the slope. Running for 4 weeks, we’ll cover everything they need to know, starting with the basics.
In this session, children will become comfortable with being on the skis for the very first time. They will learn to ski in a straight line and take the very first step to becoming a top skier.
You may have to repeat this session more than once. Our instructors will tell you when you’re ready to move to the next level.
In this session you begin work on making a snow plough. Once confident with this, you will move on to learning how to use the ski lift. Once these two steps have been completed, it’s time to move to Level 3.
You must have completed Level 1 beforehand and our instructors will tell you when you’re ready to move on.
In this session we will put together the skills you have learnt previously and take you to the middle slope. Here you’ll learn how to do snow plough turns and really build up your skillset.
All previous Levels must have been completed and you can only move on, once our instructor informs you.
It’s graduation day! Level 4 is all about perfecting you skills, enhancing what you already know and learning a few more complicated manoeuvres.
You will be able to confidentially perform a snow plough turn from the top of our middle slope. You will work on your turns and build you confidence out on the slope. When you’re ready, we’ll then have a go at parallel turns.
